What The Heck Kind of Bug is This?

I stepped out my back door to get a beer while watching college football, and this giant BUG smacked me right in the head!

It kinda hurt, and as I bent down to look at this HUGE thing, I wondered what kind of bug it was. I have never seen, nor been hit in the head by, anything like it before!

Speaking of odd bugs, check out this HUGE SPIDER that was crawling around my back yard, too...
