Weird Looking South Jersey Fruit

I had to take out my phone and snap a pic of these weird types of fruit I saw at Shoprite. I've never seen this fruit in my life!

The first picture is GOLDEN WATERMELON - which I have never seen nor heard of before. I am wondering if it taste like regular watermelon? Totally confused.

THEN there is the bizzaro-world scary thing that listener Megan tweeted to tell me is a DRAGON FRUIT! Wait...what?
