Watch as this New Jersey officer crawls to save a dog that had fallen through the ice of a partially frozen pond.

The rescue was caught on dashcam video. In it, you can see the Hopewell Officer, Robert Voorhees, fasten a rope around himself and crawl out to reach the dog named Nisel:

Thereafter, both officer and dog were pulled out of the pond by other officers so that the dog would be reunited with his owner.

NBC Philadelphia says the animal wasn't injured and is doing fine.

It's always good to see our officers here in NJ do amazing work, big or small, no matter who it is.
