A 13-year-old surf-casting on the beach in Long Beach Island made the catch of a lifetime Wednesday, reeling in a 7-foot shark.

According to 6 ABC-TV, Gianni Mandile was fishing on the beach with his dad, Joe, when he felt a tug on his line and pulled in the 200-pound shark.

"I didn't expect to catch something that big," said Gianni. "Because other people have caught those types of fish but usually at night, so I wasn't expecting to catch it in the middle of the day."

With help from his dad, Gianni dragged the shark out of the surf, removed his hook from its mouth, snapped a couple of quick keepsake pictures and, then released his catch back in to the ocean.  That's the best fish tale of the summer so far!
