Was Carrie Underwood’s ‘The Sound of Music’ Performance Really That Bad? [POLL]

'The Sound of Music Live!' starring Carrie Underwood may have given NBC it's best Thursday night rating since the 2004 Frasier finale, but Underwood has been dealing with a ton of social media backlash from haters who thought her turn as Maria von Trapp was less than stellar.  What do you think?

Some fans of the legendary 'The Sound of Music' have cluttered up the internet with nasty comments about Carrie's portrayal, leading the star to Tweet back in her own defense:

Julie Andrews shoes are hard to fill, but I feel Carrie should be applauded for attempting a new project.  Doing a production as large as live before a live TV audience is quite an undertaking.
