For those who know Steve Goff of Ventnor, it has been a tragic and shocking string of days.

After 23 long years, Steve Goff has turned himself in for a murder that he claims he committed when he was only 18 years old.

A graduate of Absegami High School, Goff admitted to fatally stabbing 15 year old Frederick “Ricky” Hart several times in the woods behind the Clubs Condominiums in Galloway Township back on May 7, 1990.

Hart was later reported missing.

'In December 1991, a hunter discovered human remains in the woods, but the cause of death was undetermined at the time.' (Press of Atlantic City)

For 23 years, Steve Goff (if he truly did the crime)  has kept this murder a secret, and has continued on with his life.

According to Cat Country 107.3's Joe Kelly:
Steve Goff has a Facebook page, that can still be accessed. His last post, from last Friday, reads:

I am a Roman Catholic it is very hard for me to compromise on my core beliefs on homosexuality. But this is 2013 not 1813 and we are in the modern technol age. That age is now crossing many moral boundaries with many different faiths around the globe. We all need to sit down and have an adult discussion as to where we are going and how we are going to get EVERYONE THERE! Without killing each other. Some people have a problem with conceding the thought of what "God" they have come to know is a culmination of things and not a deity. Nor should they if that is what they chose. We can do some real amazing stuff if unleashed. I know we can. I know what I am capable of doing. And I am not getting any younger. The control freaks of the world need to step aside and hand us some tools.
