Two people were shot last night, on two different occasions, in the same hour in Atlantic City.

Quayshawn Butcher, 23, of Galloway Township, told police he was parking his car in the third village of Stanley Holmes when a black male with dreadlocks wearing a denim jacket began firing at his vehicle.

The victim and his passenger fled in different directions, according to the report. Butcher then had a family member drive him to the hospital.

Later, police responded to an incident at  1100 block of Drexel Avenue.  Apparently, there was a large group fight, which resulted in a gunshot wound to the leg for 18-year old Laquan Davis.

The Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the shootings.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call police at 609-347-5766 or Crime Stoppers at 609-652-1234.
