Ticketmaster just settled a $400 million class action lawsuit over their “deceptive” and “excessive” fees, and they’re paying it out in the form of discount codes and vouchers.

What that means is that if you bought tickets from Ticketmaster any time between 1999 and 2013, you can probably go see a show or two for free!

There are a few caveats: the free tickets are only available for events at Live Nation-operated venues and only for eligible events chosen by Live Nation. The list of eligible events is reportedly still being finalized, but it will eventually be available soon. You can find the vouchers by logging into your Ticketmaster account and clicking on “Active Vouchers” under “Your Account.”

Here is a statement concerning the settlement and the free ticket offer from the Ticketmaster website.

"You may have recently received an email regarding the Schlesinger v. Ticketmaster Class Action Settlement because you are a Class Member who may be entitled to Ticket Codes as part of the Settlement.

Once Ticket Codes are made available to you in your Ticketmaster account, you may attempt to use your Ticket Codes to claim "free tickets" identified as available for redemption on this website. These "free tickets" are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may not be available for redemption if others have claimed them before you."

Though the official settlement website says, "A list of events for which the Ticket Codes presently may be redeemed , the events have apparently not been finalized yet, as there is no list.
