This New Jersey native is the Mike Show's Woman Crush Wednesday this week, and she made Forbes List of 30 under 30.

Halsey was born as Ashley Frangipane in New Jersey and is only 21 years old. The singer renamed herself after a Brooklyn stop, (if you notice it's also a play on the name Ashley) and has made it to No. 2 on the charts with songs like New Americana.

Her career actually began by posting cover songs on YouTube using her real name. She has gotten some attention when she recorded a parody video of Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble," now called "The Haylor Song" which is a play on the popstar's relationship to Harry Styles. Following this, Halsey's "Ghost" gained some attention on SoundCloud and signed with Astralwerks record label. Since then, she has toured with The Kooks and Imagine Dragons, and performed at South by Southwest in 2015.
