When I was younger, I wanted to be an actress or maybe a paleontologist. The 2015 Fatherly Imagination Report discovered what today's generation of kids want to be when they grow up.

According to the report, the most popular answer among most age groups is to be a professional athlete. The following runner ups were that children dreamt of having careers like doctors, firefighters, teachers and vets.

According to region, kids in the northeast and southwest areas want to be doctors while kids in the midwest wanted to be teachers. In the northwest, children primarily wanted to be superstar athletes.

The days of children wanting unrealistic professions like superheroes and princesses typically disappear after 5 years old. From there, it transitions into more realistic careers like doctors and teachers.
