Thank you Tanning Mom

Governor Chris Christie has signed a new bill banning children under the age of 17 from using tanning beds.

According to the New York Daily News, 'it's a new law law that was important for protecting the safety of minors, and not necessarily government regulating small business.'

This stems from the infamous New Jersey tanning mom, who was accused of exposing her 5-year old daughter to a tanning bed.  A grand jury opted not to indict her.

Is this a good thing for the Garden State? Should there be a law to 'keep our children safe'?  Or, perhaps the government should have continued to stay out of it, and leave the discretion up to the parents?

What do you think?
