The Summer of 2012 brought South Jersey many concerts, lots of funnel cake, and Derecho. The best part of the summer was….
I have a few things…..
Going on a South Jersey beach tour—living on the Atlantic City/Ventnor beach is cool.
This summer, however, I wanted to see more.
I visited Ocean City, Cape May, and Brigantine. I left all of these places feeling satisfied, but I wished I visited more of what South Jersey had to offer. Next summer, I hope to visit all of the beaches.
I met more SoJO listeners than ever before–Simply put, we were BUSY this summer! I spent a lot of time with you in places like Wildwood, every other casino and beach bar including the Atlantic Club….where I even got a manicure with you on the air.
I was reminded how to survive without electricity–Most of South Jersey was without power during the storm we knew as “Dericho”. I was fortunate to be without power for only a day and a half, however there were many without power for weeks. I was actually able to simply have a conversation with friends, rather than communicate to them via social media. I also got to read more and head to the beach.
