The 6 Best Prince Songs

People of other generations were shocked by the deaths of Elvis, John Lennon, Kurt Cobain, Michael Jackson...
For me, it's Prince.

I got some early information, from a person in the music industry, that Prince was found dead, the morning of April 21, 2016.  I immediately felt my stomach drop, because I knew that Prince had been sick with "flu-like" symptoms earlier in the week.

About and hour after first hearing the rumor, it was confirmed, and I was absolutely crushed.

I've long had a list of my favorite Prince songs - I know, kinda geeky - but thought I'd share my top 6 favorite songs of his.

Prince didn't allow his videos on YouTube and was very protective of his work and image, otherwise I would have included the videos here. Luckily his music will live on on.

For me, Prince was the most talented musician, writer, performer, entertainer and musical icon of my generation. His music was the soundtrack to my middle school and high school years, and listening to his songs today, reminds me of homecoming dances, first dates, junior/senior prom, and the experiences of my youth.   - MIKE
