And so Taylor Swift's 1989 era comes to an end in a pretty major way -- she won the coveted Album of the Year award for her album 1989 on Monday night (February 15 at the 2016 Grammy Awards).

She also used her speech as an opportunity to throw some not-so-subtle digs in the direction of Kanye West, who came under fire for suggesting that he made "that bitch famous" on his Life Of Pablo track, "Famous."

"There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame," she said while accepting her award. Watch her full remarks above.

Taylor had some pretty heavy competition this year: The other nominees in the Album of the Year category included Sound & Color by the Alabama Shakes, Kendrick Lamar's critically acclaimed To Pimp a Butterfly, Chris Stapleton's Traveller and The Weeknd's hugely successful Beauty Behind The Madness.

But Taylor ultimately took home the award, earning the "Blank Space" singer her tenth Grammy win.
