Dead Fish Washing Up on Local Beaches

Crews spent much of Tuesday cleaning up dead fish in parts of our area. According to NBC 40, fish were found littered along Stone Harbor’s beaches as well as in Wildwood. The Townsquare News Network is reporting that dead fish were also found in Somers Point. Officials believe a broken fishing net is to blame.

Son of Eagles Head Coach Found Dead at Training Camp

Our friends at 97.3 ESPN are reporting that Andy Reid’s oldest son, Garrett, has been found dead at Eagles training camp at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. Update: Millville Police Officer Killed in the Line of Duty [VIDEO]

Millville police officer Christopher Reeves died early yesterday morning, after another vehicle slammed into his police cruiser.

The collision took place just after 2 a.m. Sunday, June 8 at the intersection of 3rd and Broad Streets in Millville, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutors Office.

Reeves was on patrol with a rookie Officer Jonathan Seidel in the passenger seat when a black SUV being chased by police collided with their cruiser, killing Reeves on impact. Seidel is currently awaiting arm surgery for an injury he sustained from the crash, but has been upgraded to stable condition at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey.
