It's been an extraordinary year for New Zealand singer/songwriter Lorde.  The 17-year old (whose real name is Ella Yelich-O'Connor) burst onto the music scene with the song 'Royals' which quickly went to the top of the charts, as did her debut album Pure Heroine.
