As Major League Baseball comes down to the home stretch, the Minor League systems have finished their 2012 season and 3 local minor league players showed major moments during their seasons.
Dave Weinberg from The Press of Atlantic City recently tweeted "What are the Seattle Mariners waiting for? Get Darren Ford to the show!" No truer words could be said for this South Jersey guy who has been hitting at a career high rate in the minors.
It must have seemed like forever for South Jersey's own Darren Ford to get back to playing baseball, but the Vineland product is finally on the field and might get to the major leagues soon if he can keep the pace he's starting out at in the minors
At 26, South Jersey product Darren Ford may be embarking on his most important baseball season of his career. As the 2012 season opens, Ford will start his season in Tacoma - close to the Seattle Mariners in distance, but what may see far away as far as his major league dreams, yet his chances are good for a shot in the majors if he delivers.
