Atlantic City International Airport had been evacuated after what authorities said a 'suspicious package' was located inside a bathroom.

According to NBC40.net, the package was noticed around 12:30 p.m..  The South Jersey Transportation Authority has not revealed who spotted it.

All flights have been temporarily suspended in and out of ACY, located in Pomona.

New Jersey State Police reported to NBC40.net that the item found was non-threatening.  Operations are expected to resume shortly. According to the SJTA, the item was described as a "piece of hardware."

Currently cars continue to be turned away from the airport. Bomb Squad vehicles were on the scene just after 1 p.m.

Tensions are high in light of recent events surrounding the bombing of the Boston Marathon earlier this week.
