A 26-year-old Gloucester County man, seen violently beating a 17-year old boy in a video that went viral, has been charged with aggravated assault and making terrorist threats.

Police say 26-year-old Paul A. Cojocaru, of National Park, confessed to attacking the juvenile, an incident that was caught on camera and quickly circulated the internet racking up five million views.

Cojocaru posted $50,000 in bail and was released pending a court appearance, 6abc.com reports.

Cojocaru's attorney, Vincent Villamor, tells 6abc.com his client is cooperating with authorities and is remorseful for his actions.

Little is known as to why the teen, who is not related to his attacker, was beaten in the first place, but witnesses place to two at the same late night party.
