It's not too early to start looking into the crystal ball to see what songs could be worth paying attention to in the new year.

I have 3 songs to submit for your attention, and all 3 have women taking center stage.  You may have heard these songs already, but the best may be yet to come.

One woman is already a huge success, one band is breaking through, and the lady who fronts the band with her name on top has a major cult following without a major hit.

Take a listen to all these songs and will see if I'm right about any of the three:

Little Big Town -- Tornado

After a decade of plugging away in Country music, the 2-women/2-man quartet scored their first #1 country hit ("Pontoon") and are finally breaking though huge!  Their newest song is hooky and sounds like something that Sheryl Crow wishes she had recorded.  The song in the video gets going about 1:03 in.

Pink featuring Nate Reuss of Fun -- Just Give Me A Reason

Pink's new CD has scored one Top-5 already ("Blow Me One Last Kiss), has one on course ("Try"), and should score at least 2 more off this brilliant release.  Her VH1 Storytellers session was wonderful, and her song with Fun's frontman was a major highlight of the night.

Grace Potter and The Nocturnals -- Stars

The band's 7th CD release may have the song that may give them their 1st major hit.  Kenny Chesney exposed her talent to many, but the group is not truly country.  They do rock!  The song has over 2 Million views on YouTube, and this power ballad showcases the power of Grace's voice.
