Fire Breaks Out in Local School

Fire Dept

It was a scary moment yesterday morning for students as they evacuated their school…

A small fire broke out at Williams Davies School in Mays Landing.

The fire was started in the bathroom, and was put out quickly.  The only real damage it caused was the amount of smoke in the school.

No injuries were reported either.

Authorities, however, do have a suspect in custody.  He’s a twelve year old boy who ‘is charged with second degree aggravated arson, 3rd degree criminal mischief and fourth degree risking widespread injury.’ (NBC 40)

He is currently being held at Harbor Fields Detention Center.
