In October, a female student at Rowan University in Glassboro reported being sexually assaulted on campus. On Tuesday, a campus alert went out to students citing a second similar incident.

The circulated alert states, "While in Holly Pointe Commons, the female student engaged in a conversation with a male student who she met in the elevator, and then went to his room in that building. She eventually fell asleep, but then was awoken while being sexually assaulted."

Last month, another student claimed she was assaulted in the same dorm after being walked back from an off-campus party by an unidentified "college-aged male". The victim told authorities she had been drinking at that gathering.

So far, there are no indications that the two assaults are related.

Called 'Rowan Timely Warning: SEXUAL ASSAULT' the alert to students went on to say:

"A female student reported today that she was sexually assaulted early Sunday morning, Nov. 13.This is an active investigation, no pertinent description has been provided."

Anyone with information about either incident is asked to contact Rowan University campus police at 856-256-4564.

1 in 3 female students, and 1 in 5 male students will be sexually assaulted during their college years, according to the documentary The Hunting Ground (CNN).
