Just days away from her 60th birthday, supermodel Christie Brinkley has survived four failed marriages and birthed three children.  The Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue veteran hasn’t let time ravage her goddess-like good looks, and proves she’s still hot as ever on the cover of the new issue of People magazine.

Brinkley seems the epitome of ageless beauty!

On the eve of hitting the big 6-0 on February 2, Brinkley celebrate by posing in a swimsuit on the cover of this week’s People.

“I’m actually excited about turning 60,” says Brinkely. “I feel on top of my game.”

So why a one-piece and not a bikini. “My kids would be so embarrassed!” she tells People. “In private I may wear a bikini, but my kids do not want to be hanging out with some old broad in a bikini.”

In this week’s People issue, on newsstands now, Brinkley spills all of her stay-young secrets, from her diet to her beauty tricks for looking half her age.

But after four divorces, including an explosive public divorce from architect Peter Cook in 2008, Brinkley, once married to legendary musician Billy Joel,  credits her three kids – musician Alexa Ray Joel, 28, college freshman Jack Brinkley-Cook, 18, and model Sailor Brinkley-Cook, 15 – as motivation to focus on a healthy lifestyle.
“I have a responsibility to my kids as well as myself,” she says. “I want to be there for them.”

Catch up with Brinkley and all of Sports Illustrated‘s most popular swimsuit cover girls on Sports Illustrated Swimsuit: 50 Years of Beautiful on NBC, Monday, February 3, at 9 p.m.
