The governor, who met with business owners in Seaside Heights on Saturday, will be back today with a “mobile cabinet” at the Seaside Heights Municipal Courtroom on Sherman Avenue from 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. Representative from several cabinet offices including the Department of Environmental Protection, the Treasury, and Department of Transportation will be able to help with questions related to both Sandy and the boardwalk fire.

“We had two days to feel sad about this, and it is legitimately a sad thing. But we’ve got work to do now. A couple days to mourn, now we’ve got to move on and get back to work,” Christie said following Saturday’s meeting.

The governor pledged $15 million in state aid Saturday for businesses damaged by the fire.

Al Della Fave, spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, told the Star Ledger that business owners will have to wait another day before being allowed full access to their burned out businesses as the investigation continues into the cause of the fire. He says that round-the-clock protection of the area will be re-evaluated today as well.

Meanwhile, north of Lincoln Avenue, life is normal in Seaside Heights. Businesses are  open and people walked the boards as normal all weekend. The Que By The Sea barbeque state championship and festival scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday will go on as scheduled.
