This past week there was deceivingly exciting news about the worst thing ever invented. Articles were circulating the internet about the company Crocs and their future. The headlines would have made you believe that the end was near for the shoe company. However, this is not the case.

Crocs announced that they were closing the last of their manufacturing plants. As someone who hates Crocs more than bad pizza, this brought a brief moment of joy into my life. It is true that Crocs closed their factory in Mexico and are currently in the process of closing down their plant in Italy. I thought Italy was known for their high quality shoes. However, with the closing of the Crocs plant their reputation will be restored.

I was more disappointed than a father finding a copy of Fifty Shades of Grey in his daughter's room. I was more disappointed than the ending of Iron Man 3. I could make more analogies here, but you get the point.

A representative for the company told CNBC," As we streamline our business to meet growing demand for Crocs, we're simply shifting production to third parties to increase our manufacturing capacity."

To me that translates to more Crocs in the world. As if we didn't have too many already. So for now I guess I will remain not so silently judging my friends that swear by these monstrosities. Is my language a little too colorful and passionate for a style of shoe? I would answer no.
