Residents of Ocean City, Sea Isle City Allowed to Return

Residents evacuated from Ocean City and Sea Isle City due to Hurricane Sandy are now able to return to their homes.

All residents will be permitted access to Ocean City and Sea Isle City with proof of home ownership.  Ocean City Police warn the Route 52 causeway and 34th St. entrances from Somers Point and Upper Townships may still have travel obstructions due to debris on the roadway.

Sewer service returned to OC Tuesday evening, but power remains scattered.

Sea Isle City Mayor Len Desiderio said many streets there still have minor flooding.  Residents are being asked to return directly to their homes.  Power has largely been restored there.
