Did you know that RATTLESNAKES are native to the South Jersey Pine Barrens? And officials say that you better not try to kill them.

The Timber Rattlesnake of the South Jersey Pine Barrens are an endangered species in New Jersey.

 

 

These rattlesnakes like to burrow and lay their eggs in the sandy soil in South Jersey, but you can also spot them in trees. They like to hunt in trees.

The good news is, the timber rattlesnakes in South Jersey are not venomous. Whew...
