A Port Republic man's obituary this week hilariously poked fun at the shortcomings of his favorite NFL football team, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jeff Riegel, 56, who died of cancer last Friday, was a 30-year Eagles season ticket holder, according to the Press of Atlantic City. Jeffery had experienced a good deal of frustration over the years following the Birds.

It would appear we lost one funny guy when Jeff died.

In his obituary, he makes a final wish for 8 members of the Philadelphia Eagles to act as his pall bearers, "so the Eagles can let him down one last time".

Jeff Riegel will be buried today. According to the Press of Atlantic City, all eight of his friends who are the pall bearers will be wearing Eagles jerseys.
