Leon Purvis, a senior at Glassboro High School, has been on a mission to ask President Barack Obama to speak at his graduation.  The White House has now responded……

Leon is no stranger to asking celebrities, athletes, and political figures to important moments in his life.  He once asked Justin Bieber to his junior prom, as a bro, and was turned down.

He did, however, get to meet Justin backstage during a concert in Philadelphia.

Leon also asked Olympic Gold Medalist Gabby Douglass to his senior prom.  She turned him down, but she did tweet about Leon.

Now his eyes are set on the President of the United States (after all, go hard or go home right?)  His teachers and classmates at Glassboro High even put together a video for the President, and posted it on youtube…

Yesterday, Leon received a letter from the White House, stating that the President will be unable to attend the graduation ceremony.

Nevertheless, Leon is still very proud to have at least received a letter,  as well as happy to make ANOTHER big announcement on the SoJO Morning Show this morning….
