Police boats circled the waters around the George Washington Bridge as the search for missing The College of New Jersey student Paige Aiello continues.

NJ.com confirms NYPD began exploring the area surrounding the G.W. after Aiello's purse, wallet and phone were found on the bridge Tuesday night.

The 22-year old Hillsborough, N.J. resident was last seen around 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon after her father brought her home from classes at TCNJ.

Paige's mom came home at 2:45 p.m. to find her daughter gone  Paige Aiello was gone along with her 2006 grey Audi A4, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office. The family reported her missing to Hillsborough police just before 8 p.m.

New Brunswick Police located the vehicle in a parking garage just after 10 p.m. Wednesday night. The parking deck is near a NJ Transit train station and transit police are assisting in the investigation.

Paige Aiello's sister Erin told NJ.com her sister has an on-campus apartment at TCNJ, but has staying at their family home frequently.

A Good Samaritan came upon Aiello's purse containing her car keys and mobile phone on an upper level walkway of the George Washington Bridge at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the prosecutor's office said.  He had called the Aiello's personally upon his discovery.

Paige Aiello is a white female, 5-foot-3, with brown hair. Today is her 22nd birthday.
