Pleasantville Woman Shot While Holding Baby

A Pleasantville woman has been shot by a stray bullet while holding her 8-month old grandson.

The incident took place Wednesday afternoon while Olga Ceron was laying on the sofa in her Pleasantville, Atlantic County home. Police tell 6abc.com that a stray bullet reportedly came through the wall, hitting her in the foot as she was cradling her grandchild.

According to 6ABC, Ceron was able to make it to safety on the floor. Little is known about her injuries or where she was taken for medical attention.

An investigation is underway, though authorities say there may have been an exchange of gunfire nearby involving a person a vehicle and a pedestrian.

There have been no arrests yet.
