The 2018 Season kicks off tomorrow morning as the first official workouts for pitchers and catchers take place at the Carpenter Complex in Clearwater, Florida.  The day before we learned of a few promotions coming up that will certainly excite Phillies fans: throwback powder blue uniforms and the 2008 World Champion Phillies.

The Phillies will honor the 2008 World Champion team on alumni weekend on August 5, reports Meghan Montemurro of the Athletic.  That is a Sunday afternoon, 1:35 p.m. game against the Miami Marlins.  The Wall of Fame ceremony will take place the night before ahead of a 7:35 p.m. matchup with the Marlins.

Also from the Athletic and Matt GelbThe Phillies will wear throwback powder blue uniforms for select Thursday home games in 2018.  The last couple seasons the club wore some red home jerseys for such contests; it is unclear if that will continue.  The popular jerseys were worn on the road from 1972 through the 1988 season, after which the base of the jersey changed to gray.

Individual Phillies game tickets are now on sale and the promotions calendar has been released.  The August 5 2008 reunion will be accompanied by a Brad Lidge bobble figurine.  Other promotions include an Odubel Herrera emoji cap and a mystery bobblehead giveaway.
