More bad news for Payless Shoes. The discount shoe retailer originally filed for bankruptcy two months ago. The latest round of closings will affect 408 stores nationwide, including 10 right here in New Jersey.

According to NJ.com, the new round of store closings will include the following locations: Wildwood Blvd, Rio Grande, Cumberland Mall in Vineland, Collegetown Shopping Center in Glassboro, Cherry Hill Mall and locations in Lyndhurst, Woodbridge, North Bergen and Hillsborough.

The company announced earlier that two South Jersey Payless shoe stores, Cape May Court House in the Acme Plaza and Evesham, will be closing.

USA Today reports that as many as 800 Payless stores could be closing in 2017. The company could decide to keep some of the affected stores open by way of rent concessions.
