Some Atlantic City stores may need to re-think about their inventory.

Atlantic City officials have officially voted to ban the selling of realistic-looking toy guns.    These 'guns' don't exactly look like your typical super soaker 5000.  They look more like machine guns and rifles.

Lt. James Sarkos told the Press of Atlantic City:

The ordinance is part of an effort by the Police Department to ensure the safety of residents and tourists.

“You walk into some stores, it actually looks like you’re walking into a gun shop,” Sarkos said.

Air pistols and air rifles would also have to be licensed.

some look extremely realistic and have even been used in crimes - that's why police are trying to get them off the streets.
