An early morning fatal accident has suspended rail service on the Atlantic City Line.

NJ Transit rail service has been suspended between Atlantic City and Egg Harbor City this morning after a train struck and killed a person in Galloway.

The train departed the Atlantic City station at around 6:40am this morning. The accident occurred around 7am just north of the Absecon station.

There were 150 passengers on the train at the time. No one on the train, passengers nor crew members were injured.

Bus No. 554 can be taken in lieu of the train while service is down.

No other details have been released at this time.
