One of my favorite Fall past times is indulging in new network TV offerings to see which have the potential to go the distance. From new Dallas-eque drama on ABC to a star-studded ensemble cast on CBS, here are three new TV I can't wait to watch.

  • 1

    The Grinder, FOX

    Tuesdays, 8:30p

Plot: A famous TV lawyer decides to move back home and join his family’s real law firm – despite having no formal education, no bar certification, no license to practice and no experience in an actual courtroom.

Fred Savage's return to TV (in front of the camera, he's been directing now for several years) along with character chameleon Rob Lowe is my must-see.

  • 2

    Blood & Oil, ABC

    Sundays, 9p

Plot: Sometimes you have to play dirty, to get filthy rich.

For fans of the Dallas franchise, this ABC drama promises to deliver similarly scandalous story lines, fronted by Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford and movie legend Don Johnson.

  • 3

    Life in Pieces, CBS

    Mondays, 8:30p

Plot: A family comedy told through the separate stories of different family members. Whether you are on a date or at a funeral, this family's experience feels all too familiar. Every week offers four short stories.

Think Parenthood meets Modern Family in this promising comedy series starring Colin Hanks, James Brolin and Dianne Weist.
