Officials have identified the body of a New Jersey woman who died after making an accidental wrong turn into a creek.

The woman has been identified as 60-year-old Cathy Shorter of Salem County. According to NJ.com, she had been attending a family event at Salem County Sportsmen's Club on Saturday night.

A club member had noticed the car floating in the creek Sunday morning not too far from the boat ramp. When the car was recovered, her body was found inside the car.

Local police and Salem County prosecutors are currently investigating the case.
