While most people were evacuating, two New Jersey teens traveled all the way to Florida to see Hurricane Matthew in action.

Yes, they really drove 1,000 miles all the way to St. Augustine, Florida! Meanwhile 2 million people were asked to evacuate from Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.

"I have an obsession with severe weather, snowstorms, hurricanes tornadoes, anything crazy that most people wouldn't go towards(...)" says Lucio Bottieri of Jackson, NJ.

According to him, he's been obsessed with storms since 2005 when there was a "storm after storm after storm."

So with snacks, bottled water and a first aid kit, Bottieri made his way to St. Augustine with Bailey Lilienkamp - the only person crazy enough to travel with him despite friends and family warnings.

They are absolutely nuts, but I'm assuming they are safe and sound since I haven't seen any updated news surrounding them.

Regarding those affected by the storms, my heart goes out to their friends and family.
