The Humane Society International have rescued over 250 dogs from a dog-meat farm in South Korea. Now, these rescue dogs are coming to a New Jersey shelter for refuge.

Anytime I read news about animals being rescued, it warms my heart; especially when it's a rescue as large as this one.

NBC Philadelphia reports that the Human Society International have rescued dogs from a dog-meat farm in Wonju, South Korea, where dogs are a delicacy for their 'Bok Nai' celebration.

Apparently, during 'Bok Nai' dogs are served in thousands of restaurants in a dog-meat stew called 'boshintang.' Although it is widely popular during this time, one Wonju farmer reached out to the Humane Society and asked for help.

Now, the lives of 250 dogs have been saved, and 120 of the rescued dogs are coming to St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center in Madison, New Jersey.

And, yes they will be available for adoption! Huskies, Golden Retrievers, and Spitz are among the types of rescue dogs.
