NBC Cancels Community and Several Other Shows

I love May sweeps.  While most TV shows are delivering their best story lines of the season, network big wigs are watching the Nielsen numbers and waiting to renew series or give them the ax.  NBC has done just that today, cancelling the popular comedy Community, as well as several brand new dramas.

Officially cancelled from the NBC TV lineup:

• Community
• Believe
• Revolution
• Growing Up Fisher

The cancellation of Believe makes it a very bad week for creator J.J. Abrams, who saw his FOX drama Almost Human meet the same fate last week.

The Black List, the new James Spader series close to wrapping up it's first season on the peacock network has been officially renewed.
