Yahoo! released their 5 Scariest Roller Coasters in America, and should not come as any surprise to anyone in New Jersey who has ever been to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson that they own 2 on this list.

Great Adventure has been a N.J. institution since 1974, and owning a season pass back in the day was a must (one price and go as often as you like for a summer - could not beat that!)  The park has continue to push the envelop in the world of roller coasters - making others try to one-up their 2 major attractions at the park.

Kingda Ka s the world's tallest roller coaster - rising to its high point of 456 Feet!  When it opened in 2004, it was the world's fastest - speeds in excess of 130 MPH in just 3.5 seconds.  This ride is the longest 30-35 seconds of your life (and a must for any adrenaline junkie!0

El Toro hybrids old-school style with its tribute to the wooden coasters of the past (built out of old bits of dead tree), with the new-school heights and speed like no other wooden coaster.  There is nothing small or slow about El Toro - its 188-foot crest makes it the 3rd tallest wooden roller coaster in the world!
