Here's one thing you may not know about me, I'm a sucker for westerns.  I have fond memories of watching the best films with my Grandfather, and later using my imagination to make believe I was a cowboy (my bike was a horse).  With the Red Cup Rodeo happening this Saturday at Miller Farms in Berlin, there's going to be quite a few 'cowboys' at the party.

Red Cup Rodeo will feature live bull riding from Painted Pony Championship Rodeo and live entertainment from country music superstars Craig Campbell and Mo Pitney.  Doors open at 12:30 and tickets are on sale now!

Now, back to my top five favorite westerns:

    The Shootist

'The Shootist' was John Wayne's last movie before he died.  Ironically, the movie dealt with an aging gunfighter dying of cancer who resigns himself to live out his days in private. But skeletons from his past prevent him from fading away.

    Tombstone

    'I'm Your Huckleberry'  Enough said.

    The Outlaw Josey Wales

The ultimate 'revenge' movie.  Clint Eastwood directed and starred in this movie.  He lost his home during the Civil War.  Don't take Clint Eastwood's home.

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly

I watch this movie every time it's on AMC.  Who could forget the three way standoff? Easily, one of Clint Eastwood's best films.
