We've had "Baby-Boomers," "Generation X," and "Millennials." Now MTV has given a name to those born after the year 2000: "The Founders."

Teenagers born after 2000, who by the way are not older than 15, are not the same as Millennials (those born around the 1990s). These teenagers unlike the rest of us have grown up with technology, and have seen breakthroughs such as a black president. In addition they grew up with social media and the Internet. Although not clearly defined, there is definitely a separation between teenagers and the Millennials.

Thanks to MTV, the network has coined the term "The Founders" for this unnamed generation. MTV President Sean Atkins views the new generation as the one to rebuild society because of the systems that have been broken during their generation.

When MTV asked these youngsters what they would like to be called, they came up with: the Navigators, The Regenerators, The Builders, the Bridge Generation, and The Founders.

An interesting name I guess, Mike and I don't really like it. Perhaps the Socialites would be a better name? What do you think?
