A 53-year-old member of the Millville School Board is facing several charges, including impersonating a police officer, after being arrested on New Year's Day.

Reports of a fight in the early hours of January 1st brought Millville Police to BoJo's Ale House on High Street.

As police were speaking with witnesses, Robert W. McQuade took off running, according to NJ.com. When cops caught up with McQuade, he claimed to be a retired police officer, and was reportedly in possession of a badge and Millville Police hat.

Upon further investigation, officers discovered McQuade was not a retired cop. He served as a 1-year Special Officer in Millville several years ago. As for the badge he flashed, that should have been returned to the police department at the end of his time as a Special.

Robert W. McQuade, who is currently serving a second term on Millville's School Board, is now charged with impersonating a police officer, resisting arrest by force and flight, and disorderly conduct. He is due in court on February 14th.
