Miley Cyrus, in her words, "had claimed 2016 to be my year of 'chillin the f---k out," but it seems her schedule's getting busier by the day. The former Disney star announced a new acting project, and previewed a song in progress on Instagram yesterday (January 25).

"You land on every flower & use up all your power to demand peace," Miley captioned her Instagram vid, quoting the lyrics she's singing at the keyboard. As with much of her surprise 2015 release, Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz, the melody is reminiscent of those from frequent collaborators The Flaming Lips, particularly on 2002's Yoshimi Battles the Pink RobotsThe flower child imagery in the lyrics certainly befits the post-Bangerz-Tour-twerkathon Miley we've seen since 2015.

She also has zit cream dotted all over her face, because modern life is about multi-tasking. "Song writin and zit creaminnnn! Double timingggg! Cuz I'm a womannnn..... W-o-m-a-n..... I'll say it again," she continued. Get a peek at Miley's creative process below.

On Monday afternoon, Miley announced that she'd joined the cast of a new Amazon series — Woody Allen's very first foray into TV. The actress, like so many much-younger white actresses before her, will star alongside the octogenarian in what Deadline reports will be a six half-hour-episode series set in the 1960s. Hollywood vet Elaine May, who previously worked with Allen on Small Time Crooks, will costar.

Check out Miley's enthusiastic announcement below, and let us know if eagerly await her return to (streaming) TV series.
