A 29-year old Mays Landing woman has been charged with with credit card theft, forgery and theft of mislaid property after social media tips led to her arrest.

New Jersey State Police say Jessica M. Diffenderfer used stolen debit cards to make more than $600 in fraudulent purchases over the summer.

Diffenderfer was charged Wednesday and currently sits in Atlantic County Jail, Press of Atlantic City reports.

It was July 9 when Diffenderfer was allegedly captured on video surveillance using a stolen card at three separate Atlantic County locations: Lowe’s in EHT (where she purchased a tool chest), CVS in Mays Landing and the Richland Deli in Buena Vista Township.

The next day the theft victim noticed unauthorized charges to her bank account and quickly discovered her debit card was missing. She told investigators she last used it at a convenience store in Atlantic County.

Anyone with additional information regarding this case is asked to call State Police at the Buena Vista barracks at 609-561-1800, ext. 3442.
