Many New Jersey school districts, daycares and other organizations have made the call to cancel or delay classes on Monday.

As of 1 p.m. on Sunday dozens of organizations had made the decision for Monday, according to New Jersey 101.5's Stormwatch Winter Weather Alert

"The roads are really terrible and treacherous," said assistant superintendent Collette Dach as she dug out her own driveway. "Everyone needs to dig out, myself included."

Tami Millar, spokeswoman for the Toms River Regional School District, has a similar message.

"Due to heavy snow accumulations and the challenges associated with snow removal, all schools will be closed on Monday," said Millar.

This would be the first snow day for most districts in New Jersey this season meaning students have a good chance at an early start to their summer.
