Man Killed in Mother’s Day Shooting in Atlantic City

Atlantic City Police say a man was shot to death on Mother's day in the city's Back Maryland neighborhood.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, The city’s ShotSpotter gunfire detection system recorded five shots, police said.

Scan Atlantic City reports that police were dispatched to 804 N. Maryland Ave. about 3pm Sunday. The victim had been shot in the face.

Police did not identify the victim, but said he died of his injuries. Police are investigating the case as a homicide.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office is handling further investigation.
