The CRDA approved to fund some major developments and improvements to Atlantic City yesterday.

As always, 'progress' is always good news.   Let's start with the improvements to the Boardwalk.  According to The Press of Atlantic City, ' the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority approved $12.5 million in bonds to finance new LED light poles on the ocean side of the Boardwalk.'  These LED lights will illuminate some of the darker areas of the Boardwalk, making it safer at night.  They will run between Albany and Rhode Island avenues. In addition, 72 security cameras will also be installed.

As you know, Borgata announced a new night club, as well as a new outdoor concert venue.  Funding for those new complexes were approved.

Speaking of concerts, the big story here is that the CRDA has also approved 1.3 million dollars to fund two major beach concerts.  Here is the part where I disappoint you, no acts have been announced yet.  So, you and I will just have to wait.

Once again, more great news for Atlantic City, and more reasons to show the world that the city is in fact still alive and well.  This summer is looking great!
