A packaging mishap at a Galloway grocery store has prompted the ShopRite on Pitney Road to recall all store-made meat produced and sold back on Wednesday, January, 2. Officials from the Galloway ShopRite released a statement, saying in part, "there is the possibility that these products may contain small pieces of the black tray lining pad used in the packaging."

The recalled meat includes ground beef and meatloaf mix, but all other meat products are reportedly unaffected.

Store officials do not believe the pieces pose a health risk, but they wanted customers to be aware of the situation. So far, no injuries or illness have been reported.

The grocery store says it will refund or replace the purchase of any affected meat. Customers with questions can call 1-800-ShopRite (1-800-746-7748).
